ELECTROLYSIS FAQ

What is electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a process where a fine needle is passed through the natural hair openings and destructs whole follicle by producing heat and chemical process. Re growth is prevented

Will electrolysis work for me?
It works on all types of skin and hair types or colors

Science behind the electrolysis
Small electric current passed through fine needle destroys the dermal papillae, the matrix, and the bulge of the hair follicle completely to give you silky smooth skin

Is all electrolysis hair removal system is same?
The machines differs from manual to digital in technology but electrology remains the same, there is three modalities like galvanic (direct current produces a chemical reaction) thermolysis (alternative current produces heat) and blend method which combines both, they all results in permanent hair removal
Present technology saves time and more effective

Does it have any side effects?
Immediately after procedure, there may be a temporary redness, which varies with each individual

How long will electrolysis session takes?
It ranges from 15minutes to more than hour depends on the area and quantity of hair

Does it hurt?
Very minimal, u can feel heat or like a sting when current is applied, each individual has different tolerance level

What about scabbing?
There may be few scabs when galvanic is used with high units, but they fall off in few days to months

What can I do to reduce the discomfort?
Most people get more relaxed with each treatment, some takes pain killer before the procedure, and topical anesthetics can be used to reduce the discomfort, but not necessary

What will be the after care?
Antibiotic creams, Soothing gels, cold packs can be applied for 3 to 5days to speed up the healing process. Avoid makeup and sun bathe for 48hr

Are there any possibilities of infection?
The treated area will be prone to infections as the follicle will be open for 24 hr, so don’t touch it frequently, after care should be followed properly to prevent any further infections

How many sessions are needed to achieve complete hair removal?
Several months to year, depend on the area to be treated

What to do when there is noticeable hair in between the sessions?
U can shave them or cut them

Is electrolysis expensive?
It is a very inexpensive way to solve an unwanted hair problem permanently and cost will be much less in the long run compare to other never ending process
