• Due to a stressful marriage, I went grey pretty early, and that makes electrolysis difficult because grey hairs take longer to zap, I've been getting electrolysis for 10 years.  I can get away without shaving because it's pretty light, but I know it's there, and it ruins any chance of intimacy.

Procedure summary - need to know before you go for electrolysis hair removal

The concept of using electric current for hair removal has been available since 130 years and has been improving ever since. Electrolysis treatments are a form of electrical epilation where a minute needle is inserted into the hair follicle (a natural opening in the skin) and a minimal amount of current is delivered to base of the follicle to destroy it through a variety of modalities.

All modalities will affect only the active hair follicle, making this a direct route to target unwanted hair. It is imperative that we treat hairs in the correct cycle. The desired stage is when hairs are first growing.

Galvanic Electrolysis - The direct current is used, extremely effective but very slow. It creates a chemical change in the follicle to disable the root.

Thermolysis –Uses shortwave radio frequency or AC current. Causes the water molecules in your hair to rapidly vibrate, which produces heat. When enough heat is created, damages the cells that cause hair growth.

BeforeYourTreatment

 If you are going to be treating sun-exposed areas, apply sun block (at least SPF 30) each morning for one month before treatment.

 Refrain from bleaching, plucking, threading, or waxing of hairs in desired treatment area for six

Weeks. Its fine to cut, shave or trim the area.

 If you have a history of herpes or cold sores, you may need antiviral medication. This medication should be started one day before treatment and continued for one week after treatment.

 The area for treatment needs to have the hair showing to a short stubble or longer.

 Arrive with the treatment area clean and free of makeup (if treating the face) if possible.

PostTreatment Care

 cleanse the area with a mild antiseptic solution, and avoid using soaps or abrasive material for at least 24 hours post-treatment.

 Treat the area gently by keeping the skin moist with skin Healing Ointment / aleovera gel/ antibiotic cream for a few days. Your skin heals from the bottom up so this assists with healing.

 do not pick, rub or scratch the area. Do not use any irritating substances on the treated area until the skin returns to normal.

 If the treated area will be exposed to sun, apply SPF30 or greater

 If your face was treated, you may resume using clean makeup

 If pustules appear, apply hydrogen peroxide, for swelling or redness-apply ice wrapped in plastic

 occasionally scab may appear after few days of treatment and it will fall off by itself

Complications with Permanent Make Up......

first of all when people think of permanent make up, they will be more enthusiastic to get it done, they gather all the information before hand and when they meet technician, they just give a nod to everything, because they will be desperate to get the look of their imagination. may end up in few complications,

Dissatisfaction- this is the biggest of all,
eye brows- uneven (it is natural- never go beyond hair line), very dark( wait for few months), very light, patchy, few lines missing ( do it again), turns to green or reddish ( do it with clay color or organic pigments or grey based black and brown). looks artificial ( yes it is not real, will take some time to accept)

lip liner -improper v ( line according to your shape,don't follow other), turning black( always choose light color and never go for dark color), looks uneven ( do your touch ups), looks messy ( when the liner done beyond your lip liner, it happens- use pigment lightening creams to take of the color like dermaerase, biluma, glycolic based creams), 

lipcolors - no color ( when lightcolors are used it happens, please keep the before pics and always compare it,) too dark ( wait for months, if still not happening then go for gycolic peels), looks blueish or purplish ( apply biluma for 4 months and it is solved or kojic acid products can be used )

eyeliner- go for dark color, which stay long long yeras and same as lipliner, dont go for eyeshadow, always go for basic lines than designs, so you can change it whenever you want,

upper liner always fades faster than the lower one

formation of scars- very rare- if done very deep or harshly or overdoing - can be treated but if hairloss because of it then cover it with pigment, to avoid it always choose experience hands 

granuloma or keloids- avoid it if you have a keloids anywhere in you body, it is not dangerous but it is difficult to treat, 

cracking, peeling,or local infection- it is a process, apply antibiotic, vit e creams and moisturisers, 

allergies- poor quality pigments, adulterated, poor hygiene, plastic dye, - can be treated by proper care and according to symptoms

Hepatitis, Hiv - because of unsterilized  needles or contaminated pigments - always make sure the technician is using disposable units.

fever blisters- if you are a victim of herpes, if you are going for a lip procedure then do take a antivirals for a week time and even after the procedure continue for one more week
